Research

My research interest is focused on the modelling of the fjord system around the islands of Tjörn and Orust on the westcoast of Sweden. The project is heavily involved in the BOX and HYPOX projects, and aims at understanding the dynamics of oxygen, nutrients and benthic processes in poorly ventilated marine systems.

I am also very interested in ocean climate over recent centuries. Using numerical modelling and historical data I try to increase our knowledge of changes in salinity, temperature, ice extent, river runoff and oxygen conditions in the Baltic Sea since the past 500 years.
