On 14 January a measurement was taken in the Byfjord using a CTD profiler. The measurment indicate a small upwelling. The warm summer water, usually located at around 15 metres depth, has almost completely vanished. Meanwhile, the salinity above sill level has increased making the water profile weakly stratified. The oxygen levels has also been improved somewhat just beneath sill level, and the oxycline has migrated from approximately 16 metres to 25 metres depth. If this is due to new inflowing water or mixing in the surface layer is presently unknown.
